Hello, for information only.
Was in Rhode island to try and make the long sand/road to Charlestown Breachway from East Beach/Ninigret. Made it down to the end w/ no air from the tires removed but rough going just the same. Had to beat the crap out of 1st /2nd gear and the bottom. On the way back got stuck 100 yards from the entrance because the 4x4 overheated and only front wheels worked. The drag underneath was too much for the front only. Dug out some sand around front end and wheels ,lowered air pressure to 20 psi and let system cool for 20 minutes and out I went w/ a knot in my stomach. All 4x4`s that went by were very helpful , but I bet they had good ones for their friends. I deserve the critisism!! I accept.
The center of the trail was too high for the Element.I have been on the beach in Block Island, Rhode Island entering on near the public beaches. No problem, but sandy trails w/ high centers are a no go, Rob
