The dc/balt area people should get together sometime soon. Would anyone be up for something? Cookout at a park on a saturday? I'd love to meet up with some other E owners in my area.

And who was it who is building the sleeping platforms again? We need to invite him for a demo!

I'm up for it too, just tell me when and where. A park sounds like a great idea so we can bring the family/dogs if we want.

Quiet Waters in Annapolis is nice. But I'm up for whatever.

Sweet, lets shoot for early-mid November, Annapolis area, someone suggested "Quiet Waters". Got anymore info on that park?

Maybe November 13th

OK.. Here's a link to info on Quiet Waters. http://www.aacounty.org/RecParks/Parks/quiet_waters_park/ I know they have grills available for use if you rent a pavillion, not sure about otherwise. I have a portable propane grill that I'm happy to bring along.

Another option, although not as nice, would be Downs Park in Pasadena. I know that you can grill there.

I'm up for any other suggestions as well... just throwing things out...

Not sure about Quiet Waters, but I am pretty sure that Downs Park charges a fee at the gate to get in.

Both parks are $5 per car load. Not a bad trade off for working bathrooms, this however is JMO. Anyone has other ideas, feel free to throw them out.

Either one works for me, depending on the date

I'm there as long as it's a Saturday. I work Sundays

My best friend lives in Annapolis so I'll be great to get down there.

Don't think so. Just making sure people are aware that there is a gate fee at the parks.

Anyone know the dog rules at these parks? I guess I could read the web page that was linked earlier, but that would be too easy...

:) That's why I mentioned these two...

Downs park has a dog beach, but no area that is safe for off lead romping. They are welcome in the park. We had a doggie fun day there a couple of weeks ago where we reserved the pavillion closest to the dog beach. Was a great day.

Quiet Waters has both a dog beach and a dog park. My understanding is there isn't a pavillion close the the dog area. But someone would have to check on that. I'm also not sure about the non-pavillion gril rules at Quiet Waters. The beach area is certainly nicer for the dogs here, but the grill thing is probably not worth the risk.

How many are thinking of coming? Should we consider reserving a pavillion?

Not sure yet, is there a particular date/time that people have in mind?

No idea... but this the popularity of this thread, I'm not sure it'd even be worth it. Downs park has a lot of BBQ areas that have picnic tables and such in it. Just wouldn't be covered.

I don't really care, either way. This was just an idea. Another could be to meet down at the City Docks, or on the Mall (although parking might be a nightmare) whatever.

I'd play, are we firm on the date yet?
