Got in a huge arguement with a dealer who I had requested some information from last week on the E. I had requested info from their internet manager on best price, and instead this sales guy calls me and starts pulling every corny sales line in his little training book. Said he could get me a great deal at 19,995 (EX) and when did I want to buy it from him. I said "bull----, that's MSRP and I can get that anywhere. He continued his bull--- about "I'll talk to my sales manager...my sales mgr. says come in and we'll make you happy. What he didn't get was that not giving me a good price over the phone was making me increasingly UNHAPPY! Then he started practically stalking me...calling me every 2 hours for 2 days straight. Finally I picked up the phone and told him I wouldn't buy a E from him if he gave it to me for 1/2 price! He got very confrontational, rude, and combative with me on the phone, and wouldn't listen to a word I was saying.

Doubt this guy will be selling many cars. I have half a mind to contact his sales mgr. about his confrontational behavior, but this guy was so wacked I'm afraid he'll come to my house and do something horrible (I think they have my address from the internet request.) If anyone lives in Miami let me know and I'll tell you where NOT to buy an E!

there are dealers that look at "e Commerce" or Internet leads as a "low class" phone call. I have heard all of the misery storys from these guys. These dealers don't get...and never will. Just go on to another dealer that will quote you a price and show you their inventory on line. You'll find someone close to you that you can work with.

Here's how to address both those problems...

1. File a restraining order against the salesman for the harrassing phone calls.

2. Mail a copy of the restraining order to the owner of the dealership!

Have phun! :D
