can the regular 215R70-16 tires be replaced by something beefier? any experience, any ideas, any links, any reviews appreciated... :idea:

and what about the wheels?

Look in the 'under hood/performance' subforum to see lots of tire threads.

You might also want be more specific than 'beefier'. That could mean a number of things:
- larger diameter
- higher profile
- wider
- deeper or more pronounced tread blocks

Also are you mainly interested in looks, or are you interested in a specific type of driving (NYC parking garage ramps, NYC snowy streets, construction sites, beaches, potholes,etc).

Here is pretty good tire upgrade - go to 235/70 r 16 Nokian WR suv tire - looks great, handles great, it is wider and overall tire diameter goes up by about 1 1/4 " . Check out tire at nokiantyres.com. I've used them on my Odyssey for couple of years - great tire especially in winter. Your speedo will be off by about 4 %
