I see that our sponsor has some good deals even factoring in the exchange rate and, possible, brokerage fees at the border.
Someone on the board (I think it was mjohnston39 from Vancouver) said H and A will not ship to Canada. Is that the common experience?

As far as I'm aware they won't, something to do with the exclusive rights for the sale of Honda parts in America/Canada...

Really is unfortunate as Canadians end up paying outrageous prices for Element accesorries.

After being quoted $200 for Civic trim, $60 for a locking gas cap and assorted other ridiculous prices from the dealers I would sure like to know where can we buy reasonably priced accessories in Canada.

For Honda accessories your only real choice in Canada is the Dealer. Our market doesnt support wholesale selling on-line like the US does.....Best bet is to make a new friend at your local dealer and hope you can get some deals....I work in parts myself and i do give a break when i can to my E customers.

I have had the same problem with my Toyota Matrix -and it is made in Canada! However I have been able to order Matrix parts from the U.S. - I wonder why we can't do that for the Element.

Honda canada frowns on cross border sales of vehicles and parts. Most dealers arent willing to chance making a few dollars when the have more to lose if they get caught.

There are some other options:
1. Make friends with an American and have parts shipped to them and then fowarded on to you (USPS is best with packages marked as gifts so you don't have to pay taxes etc.)
2. If you are close to the border, some mail-box outfits will accept UPS shipments on your behalf, then you just need to pick them up.
3. Hunt around EBay, might be able to find a "dealer" willing to ship to Canada.
