I have driven about 500 miles on it so far and it has popped out of gear 3 times, and I know its not me. All I had to do was touch it lightly and it would go back to neutral. But most of the time no problems. jdef 04-07-2003, 10:42 AM No problem with mine after 2300 miles. I know I have shifted to reverse in other cars thinking it was fully in but it wasn't and popped out. I had a Mitsubishi Montero that did the same thing, was a defect in one of the shift forks. I have 4800 miles on my Element, 5spd. still shifting smoothly.
