: My Sub Solution

I'm wanting to put some bass in my system, can't afford the $500 for the Stealthbox, and don't want to deal with a box in the back (I want to be able to fold the seats flat and up without moving/taking out a box) So i've decided to stick a couple of 8" JL's under the rear seats. Has anyone else thought about or done this.

*I would love a 10" under there, but after much search, I could find any 10" subs that would fix in a small enough box to be put under there. They were either to deep or need to big of a box

That's pretty sweet. It still needs an enclosure, yes?

I did some measuring the depth of the box can be no more than 5.5"

It isn't just whether or not the driver fits in the box --- for each driver, the box needs to be a certain size (volume) for a given design (ported or acoustic suspension for example). Otherwise you are just wasting your money and your time. I'd say that if it's under the seats you want to go, think small woofers.

One old-school approach is to use a larger removeable sub for those times when you need more cargo storage.
