While reading a recent thread by newkdf about traveling around the hills of WV I thought I would post some random pics of my E at work. Usually the research I do takes me off of the beaten path so I get lots of offroading time in.

This picture was taken in the Fernow experimental forest. It is mostly dirt/gravel back country roads however Dea decided we needed to take a back road that ended up getting a bit too rough for even my tastes.

The following pictures were taken in the mountains of Elkins WV. We were in the woods for 1 week doing different research including small mammal surveys and reptile surveys. These pics were taken when I returned to camp from clearing the road after a tornado passed directly over us the night before.

The following pic was taken while I was doing a Odonate survey in Webster County.

This pic shows the E being loaded up for the trip out of the woods right after I purchased it

Nice pics!
One of the things I like about the element, IMHO, I feel it looks good either sparkly shiny clean OR backroading sprayed, down and dirty. Seems like it looks like two different cars in those situtations.

Either way it just screams....FUN!!!!! 8)

Much agreed, VERY nice pics, BriBoy!! :)

One question though... How much air time did you grab while "4-by-in" that caused your wheels to get out of sync?

...or maybe one was before and one was after brian got bored in the middle of the night and rotated his tires...

heh brendan knows me all to well. basically I am always working on the element and have indeed rotated my tires out of boredom. As far as the wheels being out of synch the front wheels will spin a bit before the rears engage so that would be my best guess. I have on several occasions though had a wheel off the ground.

Hehehe.... I wonder if THIS would solve your "problem", BriBoy?...
