Yes I am! Look for the SOP with an Apple sticker on the back left corner. :)

Hey, where did you guys buy yours, and was it a not-terrible experience? I'm in Portland.

I'm a 5-speed AWD holdout, but will be moving to Baltimore before the June release. Thanks for the invite to the NW club though. I've seen 5 Elements around town (Portland). An SOP while cruising up SE 12th Ave, two SSM, another SOP, and a GG in my neighborhood (West Morland). They all looked great, and I'm going nuts waiting to buy. :? Good luck with the club meets here in town!

BTW- I recommended Gresham Honda to you deadseamonkey in your other thread. A special "monkey" to "monkey" heads up :-). In my opinion, the smaller "less affluent" towns around Portland are the best places to buy. When you get into the Tech-hoods dealers expect a higher profit margin. We got our Civic from Ron Tonkin and they were on the ball. Do your reasearch first though...after all they are still a car dealer!!

No offence to Greshamites, but you should be proud not to be lumped in with IntelTown, and Nikeboro. :-D

GG EX 4WD in Beaverton

But I bought mine from Ron Tonkin in Gresham because they sold at MSRP, made no bones about a quick paperwork processing and have so much stock turnover that they can get almost anything within a couple of weeks time--except that great EX 4WD 5-speed everyone is waiting for, I didn't wait because auto is so much easier during the jammed Hwy 26 commute.

And, yes, keymonkey is correct, the small town or non-hip area dealers treat their customers better. Definitely try Gresham or even St. Johns, oth dealerships are extrememly hones and have been in business for years. Even the Washington dealers were trying to get a $2995 markup!

So, when are we going to have a cruise????

Did the online deal with Thomason. Even though I think as a dealership they could do better they did ok. MSRP and discounted the running boards a bit.

Get all your acessory stuff aftermarket at hondacuraworld.com. Free shipping, great service, great prices.

Thomason has a lot of colors. Use the internet sales team...much better than the showroom. They even delivered the car right to my house.

Really!

We have only seen one other E on the roads so far. Where are you all hiding? I'm about to get a complex. Oh and for the record, SM AWD.

Hey Keymonkey- which part of Balmor you moving to? Im in Ellicott City. The dealers here now seem to have quite a few E's on the Lots. There not moving as fast as they were a month ago! Have a safe trip anyway!

We're not sure where we want to go in the city.....I shot you a PM so we don't have to subject the NW crew to B-more speak. :)

hello all ... this is my first post, so please do forgive/correct any horrible errors i make.

i don't have an e (yet), but it's at the top of my list of candidates to replace my beloved 94 civic hatchback.

i'm wondering how loud the ride is. on most of I-5 between salem & pdx (a route i travel way too frequently), the road noise is so bad i can barely hear myself think in the civic.

so, how's the road noise in your e?

thanks!

kitsch, I too make the Salem/Portland commute quite often, and as a new E owner, recently graduated from an 87 Accord, and still owning a 96 Corolla, I am happy to say that the E is solid and relatively subdued in the noise department. Granted, the road isn't great, and you can still hear some road, but it's loads better than my older cars, and you can hear the music really well thanks to the well-balanced audio system. I was worried, too, and I am delighted at the result.

Best of luck on your decision. FYI - if you're still weighing options and models, pick up a copy of the November Consumer Reports special road tests issue in the newstands right now - includes a full page review of about every 2003 car - including all 20 small SUVs...I'm glad to say that the Elemet rates quite well. Hope that helps. Cheers~
