: Line Drawings of the E?

Does anyone know where I can get line drawings of the Element? Something like this Mini Cooper drawing. I've searched Google, without much luck.

I'm experimenting with 3D animation software & found a tutorial on creating a 3D car from 2D drawings. It would be fun to play with a 3D Element.

Wow!!!! Just look at all those 90 degree angles!! Holy smokes!! No wonder everybody thinks it looks so boxy! Yikes!

LOL

Sorry. The image above further illustrates how "unboxy" the E really is. Soapbox over. hehe.

Outstanding, Ramblerdan!

Is there any way to get my hands on a higher-resolution image? If not, the one you posted should work fine.

Any higher, and Honda's lawyers will come after me.

IMHO the interior space is MUCH more 'boxy' than the exterior.

Here's what I've modeled so far. It represents about 6 hours work. I guess I'm about half done.

Still need to carve out the doors and windows, and separate the composite panels from the painted ones.

Then the fun really begins... the animation!

What software are you using?

I'm using 3ds max, by Discreet. I'm a mediocre 3d artist, but I found this excellent tutorial on modeling cars from 2D line drawings:

I think I'm about done with the 3D model. I need to come up with an interesting short animation.

Here are a few color combinations...

WOW amazing work. Make sure and post those animations when you get done! Hook me up with on in Eternal blue pearl. One suggestion and maybe it just caught my eye but you didnt cut out the rear hatch. a simple fix if your trying to be perfect but im sure most wouldnt notice.

Wow, that's really good. Maybe some animations could be the doors opening and the windshield wipers moving. Can you do lighting, cause If you can you could put headlights on it. How about bump-mapping? Have you tried anything with that?

It is possible to add more detail, but it would be a lot of work & I need to move on to other projects.

However color changes and simple animations are easy to do. I posted a few at...

Hey, I would love a copy of your 3d files so I could play with the model. I am too lazy to create my own model.
