I was just reading the installation instructions for the Cabana, on H&A, and....

in the Install notes it says:

"The tailgate cabana is desined to provide shade
and privacy while the vehicle is parked. It is not
intended to be used in the rain or during high winds
or when vehicle is moving."

Well of course we wouldn't use it while moving, but doesn't camping sometimes involve Rain and high winds?!?!

So my questions is, How sturdy is this thing? is it ment to be a camping/tent extention or just a novelty?

I think that it's intended use is for a "changing" room for taking off your swim suit or wet suit and such so you don't have to stand in the 'E' and drip water, mud, or what have you inside while you change.

Hi guys,

The tailgate cabanna is not, sturdy. It has some shock corded poles that give it a bit of shape, but you can't really use in in heavy winds or heavy rains.

It does block out some sun (If the poles ever come in), but otherwise, it is only a small room for changing.
