I was thinking about adding a power outlet for my cell. The plan is to buy a DX rear power outlet, drill a hole in the left side shelf space, and mount it there. I also thought about mounting it on the shifter panel, opposite the flasher switch.

But I wanted to ask here first before I got the drill out...

It looks like one other way would be to get the japanese version of the shifter bezel, which has a lighter already in it.

Anyone know if this is even remotely possible?

If I told you one of my sisters-in-law was sending me that very bezel from Japan would you hate me? :grin: No, she isn't going to be in the business of shipping JDM parts over here ... "Hey sis, how much for a TSX engine and ..."

Type X has posted somewhere here some of his JDM contacts. Maybe see if one of them will get one for you.

Personally, I'd look to have the lighter jack elsewhere though. Not a big fan of wires and cables snaking around the shifter. Why not the floor console?
