Aloha,
a few different reasons
underpowered- i could have lived with this but would hope for better mileage

same problems most have had, seat rocking, dash rattles, windshield cracks.

on the other hand my new truck doesn't have nearly the back seat space as the element nor the rubber mats which was perfect for my kids to go wild in, and it don't handle even close

i needed something that could tow even a short distance 6000lbs which the element did but it was not built for that much weight and was a big strain

also I already had over 55000 miles on mine (03) and wanted to trade it in while it still had some value

As someone else who also just traded my E for a truck (Tacoma), I'm just curious what you got?

Whoa, how do you rack up 55k miles with an '03 and on Hawaii?

Did they finally build a bridge out to it and didn't tell me?
