One of my back seats folds up against the side easily but has slack in the strap that holds it up. The other seat barely reaches the handle and once it is finally latched it holds tightly and firmly against the side. Any way to adjust the straps? I didn't see any.

have you tried sliding the chrome clamp through the loop to a different position ( the clamp isn't exactly square)

Are you FULLY reclining both seats. Mine were tight fits until I made it a point to recline it to the max.
