no real damage... house roof leaks a bit.

the rt4wd works well in the rain. i drove up laurel canyon yesterday and it was pretty bad up there... mud, branches, torrents of water, etc... a house had collapsed due to the mud. but i will say that hydroplaning is a queer feeling. i couldn't really drive the E at more than 65 in the rain, and i could feel when the rt4wd was engaging (or rather, when the front wheels were sleeping).

I'm waiting with gritted teeth for the call from mom-in-law telling us that our kitchen has water in it again. Every time we're out there the weather is fabulous, and I never get to see where the actual leak is so I can fix the damn thing!

I also have some equipment stored near Reno (actually near Quincy) that is smack in the middle of that "once in a century" snowfall. Fingers are crossed that the storage building hasn't collapsed under the weight.

This morning's St. Louis paper had a picture of a house-sized boulder that landed on Topanga Canyon Road. I betcha that a few dozen movie and TV celebs are not too happy about their commuting options right now.

>weighs like 10 tons or somthin like that i think..

Prob'ly a lot closer to 1000 tons than 10... likely even more. It's going to take explosives to break it down into manageable chunks.

EVERYTHING SEEMS A OK FOR THE TIME BEING. WORK OUT HERE IN CORONA AND THE AIR PORT IS COMPLETELY UNDER WATER. WHAT AN AMAZING SIGHT TO SEE THE SMALL PLANES PARKED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. AND THE PRADO DAM IS ANOTHER SIGHT. I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE THAT WE ARE GETTING THIS MUCH RAIN. TOO BAD MOST OF THE WATER JUST RUNS OFF BACK INTO THE OCEAN INSTEAD BEING ABLE TO RETAIN IT FOR WATER SUPPLY! HOPEFULLY EVERYONE ELSE OUT HERE HASN'T SUSTAINED ANY MAJOR DAMAGES. BUT ON THE GOOD NOTE, I'M OFF TO JACKSON HOLE FOR THE WEEKEND TO GO SKIING!!

Everything's cool here in the central valley for me personally. The bad news is that I work for PG&E and its been hell here at work. The good news.. LOTS of standing water and I LOVE puddle hunting in my E! (my peace of mind... gimme a break) :D

hey Elemen-O-P

just reminds me the other day a pg&e truck was outside the house the other night with its outside lights on the element..it was weird..it would be pretty sad to have the electric company to repossess it....the weather here is getting better now. i heard there was a lot of rain but i was luckily gone when it happened. and some stupid surfer at my local beach died while surfing during a storm and rain...just hearing about surfing with snotty lungs is bad but with a storm is even worse.

hope all the so cal people are doing good after that big mudslide

ande713 .... I'd be more concerned about why you're suspicious that your E would be reposessed, not about who's gonna do it. wouldn't it be cool though to see an E dressed up as our mascot Helmet?! :D
