Well, I got my new Rallye Red Element 2 weeks ago. My prior Element was in a bad car accident. A semi decided to play tag with me and hit me from behind. I miss my Blue '03. :(

Ouch! Hope you weren't hurt. What, other than color, did you do differently when you got the new Element?

Poor E, so what was the total cost of repairs? I'm sure it was a total loss.

I was hurt a little, but not serious. I had a bone bruise, so it was hard for me to walk or lift anything for a week. But that's minor compared to what could have happened.

A total of 5 cars were involved in the accident. I was slowing down during rush hour, and a semi driver fell asleep (I think), hitting me from behind, pushing me into another car coming from the on ramp. Both of us were pushed into the side railing. The semi continued and hit another car, pushing him into the railing, and finally stopping after hitting a 3rd car. That car was lodged underneath the semi.

No one was seriously hurt. The fire fighters were totally surprised by that.

The only difference on the my new Element (so far) is that bra in the front. It's a Magnetic Bra. (magnetbra.com) Instead of the bug sheild, I just got that, so I wouldn't have to worry about rock chips and stuff. I looks great and very inexpensive. You can find it on eBay for $5 cheaper then the website.

Insurance didn't tell me the total cost of the repairs of my damaged E. But it was a total lose. So luckily they sent the check to Honda, and about 2 weeks later, I had my new E. :)

Glad you're OK now - that was a pretty serious hit to your E. New E looks great!

Agree with the others... glad you're still with us, and if I were buying an 05, RR would be THE color choice.

Thanks everyone I really appreciate. I remember when I got in that accident my first thoughts were: Man, I loved this car.

So naturally I did some looking into the new E. What really caught me was the builtin XM Radio. I had an XM Roady in my Blue E, and don't know what I would do without it. Since my commute to work is over 45 minutes.

And I like that the AWD is now in the manual transmissions (which my new E is). And of course when I saw that Rallye Red, I was in AWE.
