It's a Lund .... "interceptor" or something like that. It's okay, if I wasn't as hopeful to avoid as many rocks as possible I'd take it off. It makes a peculiar wind noise at speed that is really annoying. For now I just crank up the tunes.

Do you hear the wind from the roof racks, or does the air deflector work? I noticed your spot mirrors in the pic. That was the first thing I put on my E the day I brought it home. I can't live without them.

The rack is quiet, there might be a bit of wind noise, but it's not a "sound" per se.

Withouth the fairing, the rack bars hummed. it was a resonant thing, I could put a hand up and touch a bar, and it would stop. Funny.

As I said above though, the Lund deflector makes a lot of noise at speed. It's not like a blowing wind noise, it's an annoying 'popping' sound, like the mettallic sounds that the air from carwash blow dryers make on the roof of a car.

It bugs my girlfriend more than it does me though. I'm keeping it for the moment. If it absorbs one decent rock hit, it's paid for itself. :)

Posts from other Lund owners say they don't experience any noise whatsoever.
