I HATE drilling into my stuff (any stuff).

So, instead of mod'ing a 20,000 car, I mod'd $70 speakers.

I cut the lip of the housing with dremmel, bent it out, drilling it, and mounted it in the stock holes using stock screws.

Yea but I can bet the piece in the 20K car cost maybe 50 bones max. Which means you modded a $70 speaker which cost more ;)

Seriously though its a good idea for anyone nervous about messing with their car. Once you get over the hump its not that big a deal to order a new part...I just ordered the $12 plastic bezel around the stereo since I drilled through it so I can replcase it in the future if I need to.
