I don't think you'll get any serious replies for another couple of months. So far, nationally, I think there are only about 25 people who are signed up. Hang in there.

I may be going. I would be leaving from Harrisburg area. The only issue is my vacation ends the previous weekend. It would be fun I used to live in Columbus for about 4 years. My wife would like to see some of our old freinds and this national meet would be a good reason for us to go back to Columbus. Easton, listed on our event site is a really cool area for dinnig, shopping and entertainment. Quaker Steak is located in a cool area as well. I'll keep monitoring the boards. :)

I hope all of you can make it. There have been many regional/area meets in our 2+ years of existence, but this meet is going to be the Big E-vent! ;)

Man we are in the EXACT same boat. First baby is due sometime between July 25 and August 3.

Going away 2 weeks before the baby is do is not the best decision.

At least I take solice in that I am not the only one going for the same reason...and you are in the same region at that.

Where's your sense of adventure? There is plenty of room in the E to have a baby, and cleanup is a snap with the waterproof seats! j/k

I'd not go too if my wife was due anywhere near the trip date.

Thadd, When are you heading out? I'm considering the trip, but not sure what day I will be going. The new Pittsburgh Mills opens on the 14th and the wife wants to take to 15th off to shop at the mall. Let me know.

Just as an FYI... currently there are 46 Elements signed up for the event, which translates to 77 people.

I wanted to go, but the wife said hell no. She thinks its dorky I even visit the site and talk to people about the E, much less go meet a bunch of people somewhere.

I wouldn't mind tring to put together a VA meeting though. Seems to be a bunch of us within a few hours of each other.

Would anyone be interested in that?

I'm heading to Ohio from Annapolis, and would caravan. However either outbound or on the return I will detour to Niles,O to visit my old SGT.

As departure gets closer, I'll have confirmed the detour and will advise.
Every best wish,
G.J.

I honestly only want to go if I KNOW that I will get to tour the honda plant. I get so little time off at work that it would really have to be something special to make it happen. Plus, from NoVA it is over 400 miles which is no small amount in gas.

If I can, I'm going to pay the 30 dollar registration fee, and hope that the raffle to see who gets to go is before the event. If I am selected, I will take leave and go to Ohio, if I lose, i'll consider the fact that I get a cool T-Shirt and made a small donation to the EOC.

I'm trying to search on when the raffle will be...I wish the National Meet website listed the total number registered (to check my odds, 50/50 wouldn't be too bad) and when the selection will be. On with the search.

Even if there were 200 people registered for the Honda Tour it wouldn't mean you would or would not be going. The decision as to who will and won't be going on the tour won't be made until probably in June after the registration has closed.

As of right now there are 49 Elements registered, 81 people and 77 signed up for wanting to go on the Honda Plant Tour. Remember it is still very early in the registration for the event. Everyone will be given a fair chance to register and have a shot at going on the Tour, if more than 100 people want to go.

As for the raffle, it will be taking place Saturday during the picnic at Hocking Hills State Park.

Any other questions I can answer for you?

OH! I didn't mean the raffle for the stuff (thats nifty, but in no way pivotal), I meant the "raffle" or drawing for who might get to go into the honda plant. The general process of elimination must be happening before the actual date of the event. I think i'm going to drop the 30 bucks and take the gamble that I may be chosen as one of those 100 people.

Question: if say 300 vehicles sign up, i'm assuming that there will be a drawing or lottery of some type to choose 1 person from 100 separate vehicles and not 2 people from 50 vehicles? So each vehicle would have a 1 in 3 chance as opposed to 1 in 6.

1 in three ain't bad odds for the money, but 1 in 6 would stink. :)

To avoid upsetting people my personal feeling is we want the EOC members on the Honda Tour obviously more than a "guest". Afterall this is an event for us as owners of Elements. That does not mean we don't want guests on the Tour... but this is an EOC event.

I guess you can look at this as a sort of raffle, I honestly didn't think of it that way. The decision as to who gets to go will be decided in a fair manner by Tom. The decision will be posted and sent out via an email well before the event, but after registration closes.

Tom will be working on some updates on the site this weekend and I'm sure will post the updates on the EOC as well.

Go read his update in the Event Update (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13856).

We aren't going to have 300 E's there. Not 200. *Maybe* 100, if we're lucky but unlikely.
