I must've read something incorrectly, but I thought it had been removed from Consumer Report's "Recommended List" because of its poor crash ratings or something... like you said though, same rating as the Element; Consumer Reports also dinged the Element for safety which I disagree with! :( As far as your Beetle though, you are a living testament to its safety!
