Ok, I think this is the winner...I know the weight is a bit high, but it seems to fit best...if it is indeed waterproof? I saw no mention of this on the Thule website or anywhere else. Are they sealed shut? Or if I was caught in a downpour, I'm pretty much screwed?

Thanks In Advance!!!

Oh and my MINI...a 165lb load capacity on the rack, what was Honda thinking? :D

I only have experience with Thule's least expensive box, the Sidekick. I haven't noticed any water on contents. The lip of the upper half completely overlaps the edge of the lower part. So water falling from above, or blowing from in front is unlikely to get in. Still, I don't put anything up there that is sensitive to water - such as electronics or papers. Clothes should be ok. They might in rare circumstances get damp.

Thanks for the info Paul. I would assume anyone with any Cascade could comment??? If you have experienced any harsh weather with it mounted. If it is not waterproof, the wife will scold me if we come into contact with any form of wet "elements".
