I'm in New Orleans for over two months working a security gig with the Army Corp of Engineers. I am living at Prytania & Jackson in the city, and working on Manhattan Blvd in Harvey.

I've seen tons of E's down here, but no one else with membership window stickers. I've put cards on E doors when I find them parked.

Just joined the club, and just moved back to New Orleans (actually Jefferson) - drove down from Philadelphia with all my belongings packed into my new (to me):) 2003 EX 5 spd. MT- bought it with 37,000 miles and so far I love it. My only complaint is that it didn't come with the sunroof! Anybody have advice about hiking & camping around Kistachie Natl. Forest? Planning my first expidition in a couple weeks...

Hmmm...VA graduate here from ULL...it was USL at the time though. I know the building, faculty, etc... Good little set-up they have. I love the building (bauhaus style)...anyway, I wish you luck. I went on to get my MFA from UF (Florida) and show here in New Orleans locally.

Do you have E friends in your area? I am an organizer by (partial) profession (I don't get paid)and can get something organized if there are people who are interested!!! :-D

We live on a street with a two Xb household, a two BMW 5 series household, and a two Hummer household. We used to be a two Jeep household. I love the E. My wife likes it alot but is on the fence. I'm from just north of you, in Brookhaven, MS. It's on I-55 north of you. When I still lived in B.R. we used to go mountain biking just west of Brookhaven about once a month for years. There's some great trails at the Clear Springs Rec Area in the Homochitto NF. It's off Hwy 84 near Meadville.

It's cool to know I'm not the only one who knows about B-town, ha!

Well, there's another reason I know where Brookhaven is. I had an issue w/the local barney and andy in my college days roadtripping to jackson for football games. There really need to be signs that indicate DRY counties. Especially for us S.Louisiana folks :D

hell I just got mine...I see a bunch driving around and all.

I plan to do like I did for s2ki.com and print out a bunch of crappy buisness card type things on some 8x11 piece of paper with the site url my name on it and my phone number and give them to other drivers i seen on the street.

It worked with the motorcycle club and the s2ki club im in so who knows.

Sounds good. I have only seen them on the highway. And only one so far was under 50! I'll see what I can do on my end! I really think La would be able to get a group together. Ever heard of meetup.com? I organize a playgroup from it and if we could get a few people I an use it to get us going. (it's free for me since I pay for the 1st group)

LMAO I think the older ones in my area are the "not sure how I got this car" people. I wished there were more online - LOOKING for an E group!! Do you even know how cool our parties and get together's would be?! YEAH!! I always love an good excuse for a crawfish boil! :D

I've been lurking this board for about a month doing research on the Element.
I spent two weeks haggling with Team Honda in Baton Rouge. I almost got scammed by some English person from ebay. Bought my 2006 Tangerine AWD ex-p the 28th of March 2007. Paid $22,300 out the door. After 600 miles I'm still smitten by the Element! Tammy and I have two Pontiac Azteks (both 2001's). Aztek's started the modern era crossover movement with tons of room and versatility, but Honda got it right! I thought I'd miss the V6, but I have to look at the tachometer to know I'm not driving a V6. There's about 500 rpm difference at highway speeds. The Element turns tighter(hard to do!) than the Aztek and it sure is just as smooth riding!!
Our two Rottweilers and Chow love Pumkin' and when I took my mountain bike for a tune up I was loaded in under a minute and that included putting the seats up!
Thanks for having this board!

I wondered if you wuz from down da bayou when I saw the Choctaw reference. Every few years when I'm home we go to Mandeville and bike the Tammany Trace up to Abita have lunch & some brews at the brewpub then ride it back thru Fountainbleu & over to Lacombe.

Tkobrian,

Yeah, I'm a Bayou-Lacombe Choctaw, you'd have to be from down there to even know about us, and my other relatives are Jena Choctaws. Unfortunately for us, as you already know, the Mississippi Band is the only one that has Casinos!

That Pearl River Resort is beautiful, and I have made several DEPOSITS there! That sounds like a perfect plan to bike along the Tammany Trace and back, and I especially love the part about the lunch and the brews in Abita. But I'd just as soon wait on yaw'll to get back to Lacombe, and I'll have a mess of 'craw-dads,' and a few Hurricanes waitin' for you!

I can say that living in California is a totally different experience, especially when you have to tell people everyday that you don't speak Spanish! Doesn't anybody out here speak Choctaw?!!

I was more of a huntin' camp booray & 5 card stud kid. Can't get into the video poker stuff, don't really like blackjack & craps confuse me.

I am trying to sell mine but I don't want to take too big of a loss because I added alot of accessories when I purchased it. Mine was purchased to be a business vehicle but I do love it. I am just much more of a car person and would love to get a Civic instead. I am in Hammond.

Hey all, just checking in on this Louisiana thread. I am a new E owner in Hammond. Crazy thing that happened on Saturday July 14th. I put my EOC sticker on my '08 SC Sat morning and headed to the gym, on the way back to the house a GG EX pulls onto the road I was on. As I close the distance, I realize that the Element in front of me has a EOC sticker on the back glass!! (right hand side) I was really surprised to see another sticker that fast... It was on Old Covington road heading toward Range... Looking over the list of posts here, i suspect it was nosacking, but who knows... Guess the EOC is bigger than I thought.

yes...I did go with the stock size

I had to order them from Sam's Club and they will only put on the OE size.

Honestly, I didnt see any use for a bigger size since we dont offroad with it...so ground clearance isnt an issue when riding on the street

These tires give an awesome ride...terrific wet and dry traction as well
