I cannot find a forum for the Toyoata Highlander anywhere. I do not think that Highlander owners like their vehicles as much as E owners. Does anybody know of aftermarket speakers that work well with the stock HU. Thank you.

Hey Calvin13,

We need specifics. Speakers for the E or Highlander?

Thx, Phil
ps If it's for the E just do a search you'll pull-up numerous threads on them.

I understand that. I can find speakers that fit into the existing openings. But just like with our E's. What sounds good with the stock HU? That is what I am trying to findout.

I wish I could help. my GF is jealous of my Element's sound system. The stereo in her $28,000 Highlander sounds like Dookie. She also wants volume controls on the steering wheel like my E but I don't know what to tell her. That car just doesn't have the following of the E. You can stick any speakers in a car as long as they fit the openings but the stock HU probably won't kick out enough juice to give the sound any more oomph. To the best of my knowledge the Highlander does not have an external AMp like the E which would make replacing the HU that much easier.

The Highlander has terrible sound. I get the impression that just changing the stock speakers is not going to really do the trick. Will have to research the amp issue.

HEy!

How the heck did you get volume controls on the wheel? Inquiring minds REALLY want to know. I'd love that!
