Although I am not from Alabama, I have fond memories of Alabama, as my mother was born there. Actually she was raised in Mulberry Alabama. I now have a sister who lives in Mulberry, and both parents are laid to rest there as well as my oldest brother who died in a car accident while on a business trip in NY. Gods best to all who live in Alabama :)

There's lots of great places to visit in Alabama. While is Selma , go to the historic bridge that Martin Luther King crossed over, and also this was the beginning of the civil rights for African Americans. There's alos the Alabama river as well as other sites. Hope this helps.

Tucked up in small eastern part of Bama here - Goodwater/Millerville area. Found out quickly that the new kiwi green draws a lot of stares around these parts. Maybe it's just the E itself? Don't care...I love my "ugly buggy"!

hey i'm from daphne, bought my E in nov of 05 right before i got out of the marine corps. Drove it home with a grin on my face and have been in love ever since.

Alot of people notice mine around here though our lil eastern shore community is full of them. I drive a silver 2003 EX awd with a bunch of "hippie" stickers on the back and global war on terrorism plates.

I get alot of comments and random people asking to see the inside and i'm always happy to show it off. My big thing is seeing other E owners and we get that quick lil look and nod that says "yeah you know what its all about" its a great shared feeling thats obvious everyone here shares.

I bought my E for camping and festivals and practical purposes. So far the only thing that got me down with it is the stock jack. It bent the first time i tried to change my tire. Luckily i've got a thingy with my cell where some one will come out and do it for free.

And a meet up sounds fun....should do a weekend camp thingy.

Bump...

If anyone is interested,

The Wings and Wheels Air and Car Show will be at the Shelby County Airport in Calera, Alabama right off of I-65 at exit 234, next weekend Sept 23-24. The airport can be seen from i-65.

There will be sky divers, air shows of all sorts, planes of all types, cars, trucks and bikes and a jet powered fire truck

I'm not entering the show but, i'll be there saturday...

What do you have in mind? LS? EX? SC? Any colors you are leaning toward?

From Buena Park CA to Columbus OH to Montgomery AL, my Element will now be residing here for at least the next year during my time at Gunter. I know absolutely nothing about the area except that the local activities aren't that active, but I hear there's great camping to be found in Alabama and the surrounding states. So far all I've had for E'ventures in AL is the trip down here and a long haul from AL to TN to TX and back for Quakecon, fully loaded down with three PC gamers + gear + sleeping goods in a CB-equipped 3 car road train.

So if anyone wants to have a mini meet and show me just how camping in the E is really done (opposed to camping outside of LAN parties) then please, let me know!! Oh, and mods... all I have is the HD gutter guard mod.

Taco Bell
Ruby Tuesday's
Chik Filet
there's a couple more i think.
