Has anyone found an easy place to get Battery power (power that stays on without the key in) without modifying the Element's wire harness too much? I thought there might be an easy place at the fuse box

you could easily tap into either fusebox - under the hood or under the steering wheel

Why not go right to the battery? :D

I guess I was just hoping there was an unused plug somewhere. I considered going direct to the battery, but didn't want to deal with the firewall today. I just need continuous power for an inverter and cooler, but didn't want to chop any wires.

pookSter - none of the open fuse slots under the dash are "hot". For my radar detector, i used a "add a circuit" tap on the window relay fuse. This way, i didn't have to cut any wires. You can taps like this at pep Boys or other large auto part stores.

Thanks ion, I did find one tap in the fusebox that was on all the time. It is the one with the single spade connector

Yup that's the slot for the fog light relay. Fits a small spade nicely.

Oh,...cool. Thanks. I wasn't sure what it was reserved for but at least I know it can provide at least 10 amps.
