Okay, not that funny, but it is just a small infection in his toe from ripping off a claw on a Halti. (I do not recomend the head version of the halti for any dog because they can rip off their dew claws)

Since his isn't in pain, it is hard not to laugh, especially when he tries to chase the cat.

Do you have another dog with a bright, shiney nose?

Here's my guy when he was recovering from his accident (broken paw) -- just about sold my car, looking to get the E within a couple of weeks! He can't wait to go for a ride...

What happened?

Bone

He jumped off of the roof of a parking garage and fell about 4 stories. We were VERY lucky with how he landed (construction zone next door). I was escorted by a cop and rushed him to the emerg vet where they took great care of him. Lucky for us it was mainly a fracture in his paw (had to have joints fused and a plate added), but no spine problems, no broken ribs, no broken hip, no internal injuries!

That was in November ... he's back to 100% normal now, just a little less mobility in that paw and a healthy fear of heights. :)

The wild-eyed pure-joy full-run puppy is indeed a purebred long coat Chi. Only a few months old in that pic (same chi as the one in the crate in the Element above) so he still has a puppy build, and his lineage tends towards fairly "stocky" for a Chi... a whoppin' 6 pounds at 6 months, which we like him being "sturdier".

Puppies just don't hold back on having fun. I could never be a cat person. Nothing against cats, but they are just too restrained for me. 8-)

Our cat jumped off a shelf in the garage and broke his leg. It's perfect now, but the cast was not much fun.

I don't think the broken leg was caused by the height of the fall as much as his manly girth:

What a doll!!!!! 12 weeks old, or so?

Great pics -- love that action shot at the end.

I've got to get with the program and post some of my Samoyed, Gidget. But I haven't figured out how to make the files smaller.

Thanks - yes, he was 12 1/2 weeks in that pic and is a great dog (so far). Definitely all "guy" ; sleeps (snores too !) in front of the TV on his back with his hind legs in the air and spread for all the world to see . . . drives the women around here crazy. :)

My roommate in college had a Samoyed - that was a GREAT dog; super smart (scary smart  ). He went everywhere with us . . .

There is some pretty good info that may help with getting your pics down to 640x480 here:

It would be great to see pics of Gidget (bikini and longboard right ? Cowabunga ! ) and your E.

Sometime ago before a kind soul (Box4Rox) guided me to photo-posting nirvana, I had mentioned these dog paw (actually, life-sized wolf paws) stickers from www.wolfpacks.com (http://www.wolfpacks.com/)

Here's a pic of one of the four I've got on my E. Obviously taken a few months ago.

What a nut! Gidget gets so close to the sprinkler heads I'm afraid she's going to poke an eye out or get too much nasal wash. :) Simple pleasures.

I'm guessing he's smart enough to figure it out (I don't want him on the Darwinian Awards List . . . ) I tested these myself (local soccer field) and the spray is actually a little softer than it looks.

He's in the dreaded "teenager phase" right now. Here's the result of the following commands before this mornings walk:

Obi "No"
Obi "Outside"
Obi "Down"

(shot through a screen door so it looks a little grainy; photo-shopped it out of the shadows)
