inspiron 04-20-2003, 10:40 AM Wow! I almost like that better...
ibutchman 04-20-2003, 02:13 PM I would have to see it at different angles. But I think I like the original style with the composite panels better.
cjecpa 04-20-2003, 06:23 PM Here is asilver one from same site.

ande713 04-20-2003, 06:34 PM I think they both have TWO moonroofs on each ALL the moonroofs are power :D  8)
BB & Freaky-E 04-20-2003, 09:56 PM Yup, Just another SUV :?
foxtail 04-20-2003, 10:14 PM LOL, Brian. I was trying to figure out what bothered me about the pics, and you hit it exactly!
Ger Brassfield 04-20-2003, 10:50 PM Maybe just another SUV, but <HEY!> look at them wheels! Are those 18" Helo Lotus wheels??? I got some just this weekend (4/18) and they sure look great!!

Sheniferous 04-20-2003, 11:33 PM hmmm.... i wonder how my SMM would look with painted panels.....

i might just do it... :o :D !
BB & Freaky-E 04-21-2003, 12:15 AM Sweet! You could just buy a couple cans of primer. :)
I do like the wheels, but it looks like everyone who is doing the wheel thing is getting the same type, look. :? Looks like Clones !
wr70beh 04-21-2003, 01:24 AM I thought because of the absence of a B-pillar that they couldn't do a sun/moonroof in the front. They'd have to remove that overhead storage bin to get the sunroof in and someone told me that there was a beam that obstructed the installation of a sunroof. I think I'd rather keep the sun"light" in the back where it is.

Simon 04-21-2003, 06:13 PM To each his own. One of the things that sets the Element apart is the composite panels.
I like the contrast and not so much painted metal.
bubble709 04-21-2003, 08:08 PM haha...cjecpa...that dealership where your pics were taken is where I got my E. Yea...they had some E with front and rear powered monroof...(that's what I have on my E) But my E do not have the painted panel. I think it really depends on the color. If it is blue or black...it looks better with the painted panel. But for me....I have orange...which i think looks better with the original panel.

Talk to me about how you achieved front and back powered moonroofs.
I'm drooling with lust!
bubble709 04-21-2003, 10:20 PM I don't know what to tell you...basically...my dealer have this company that install moonroof for them. They installed the front and rear moonroof for 2500 bux. It's kinda expensive...but I think it's pretty cool. Too bad I don't have a digital camera or anything like that...or I would post a pic of my E with the moonroof here.
patedugan 04-22-2003, 07:43 AM Boooooring. Painting the panels decreases the "unique" factor by at least 75%.

Everyone is saying that painting the panels takes away from it uniqueness. They say it just looks like any other SUV. I disagree. I think that it will make it unique from any other Element. Also, most SUV's do not look anything like the Element painted or not. It has a very unique design especially with the suicide doors. It has more room than most SUVs especially for its class and is way more useful than any car on the road. If no one customizes their Element then all of the Elements will be the same..."drones" I think someone said.
mikalpitman 04-23-2003, 06:34 PM i painted the grill and front and rear bumper centers to mach the paint on my "e" and i think that it looks a lot beter that way. not so meny colors of panels ,like the gray , silver , that the bumpers come stock with
ExpressElement 04-23-2003, 08:41 PM Where did you get them painted and how much did it cost :?: Did they use a flex agent in the paint and if not, is there a risk of the paint cracking due to the panels being flimsy :?:
