Even though the owners manual states a 15.8 gal capacity, I've been hard pressed to use 13 gallons, even when seriously getting into the reserve tank. Any comments?

Well, the light does come on early. :D

If you check back thru, you will find a few threads on when the light does come on.

I've never let my gas get much below half, so I do not know for sure how much it will hold. But when I fill it up, I top it to the very top and it takes a lot of "clicking" on the pump to put more in after the first click that shuts it off. 3 gallons more afterward!

Are you saying that after the auto shut-off, you can still get another 3 gallons in the tank?

za9, Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. There must be a 3 gallon neck from the tank to the top of the neck where the hose goes in. Unbelievable, huh?

Oh dear - that would tend to indicate there isn't the amount of reserve in the tank that we've all been assuming! Most of us are probably running round with no more than 13 gallons in the tank!
