Could someone give me a idea about how much of a 32 oz. bottle of 303 i would use to do my panels for the first time.

I've got a 32 oz bottle that's lasted me over a year...Two bikes, two kayaks, one Element. I probably use it about once a month on all. I use it very sparingly, I guess is what I'm saying. Like the label on the bottle says.

not a whole lot, i mean your going to spray your rag and wipe and reuse the same rag thru the entire process. I bought a 16 oz. bottle, did the outside probably 3 times so far (a little overboard i know, but part of the excitement of getting it 6 weeks ago) and the inside once or twice and have about 1/2 the bottle left.

TO Special-K:

Need to know about the Thule fairing. I have the whole Gulf of Mexico to kayak in, but gotta get it to the beach to launch. Would like to know if it works out well as a carrier.

Are you talking about the black cladding panels, because I've been wondering what to use myself?
Thanks,

Will post a pic when I get it in. Stayed home today with my daughter who was sick. Was hoping it came today (they said it shipped out on Monday) but it hasn't made it yet. Well I'm not entirely sure I follow your post though after re-reading. I've already got the thule rack put on, and it works great, but I noticed quite a bit of wind noise so I ordered the fairing to go in front to deflect the wind up and over and cut down on the noise. Here's a link to pics of lwclancers thule rack and fairing. I had the wind noise with just the thule rack on it, before the bike carrier went up.

I bought the smaller sized bottle, 16 or 20 ounce one. I have about 1/2 of it and have done the outside about 4 times and the inside a couple. Just spray directly onto a rag and wipe on. Jurneez, yes he's talking about what to use on the outside clad panels and inside. The main 2 choices people on the forum have recommended using are 303 and mothers back to black. Just remember to buff it out after applying, since it will dry funny if you don't buff it out good.

Use it sparingly and the black cladding will look great! I've used it twice and think it's some really great stuff. :)

I have the 303.. sure it makes the plastic look darker after you apply it, but doesn't all interior cleaner do that? I don't understand the hype over this product.. How can anyone stand by its longevity? oldest Es are only 2 years old!!

Thanks Special K - I just wanted to be clear on the subject.
Hope to do it soon.

Go ahead and use armor all and you will find out what the hype is......when your panels start turning white you will see :)

Here's a thread where it's covered in the first 2 posts. I've had the streaking happen when I didn't buff it the 1st time.
