I'm starting to think seriously about a GPS, and am mostly sold on the IWAY. The only thing holding me back is some real world experience with them in an E.
I'm hoping someone here has one - I'd like some input please!!

I haven't any personal experience with the IWAY 500c, but I did find a forum with some information on it for you...it is seven pages worth, sometimes it rambles and goes off track, but there seems to be some good useful info there.

I have the much older handheld Lowrance GPS unit, the IFINDER, which I use in my Element to track my position. From a mounting position between steering wheel and radio, it maintains a fix most of the time. In heavy trees, or canyons I can loose a fix, and have considered getting the external antenna.
If I were in the market for a more sophisticated unit, I certainly would consider the IWAY. My experience with Lowrance has been good enough. The company doesn't have as big a share of the GPS market as Garmin and Magelland (sp?), but has been a presence in private aviation and marine electronics for some time. As with the IFINDER they have provided a lot of memory (hard drive in this case).
You can learn a lot about the unit by downloading the manual from that Lowrance page.
