: One of the reasons I bought an 'E'

I wanted something the doggies would fit into, I have a pair of Greyhounds, the passat wagon I had was ok, the the E will be much better. :) (Although they will both fit in to the back seat area of my Karmann Ghia) :-o

We haven't needed to bring them anywhere yet, but we've already found their hair in the car... maybe they've been taking joy rides when we're not home?

Ivory (racing name was Maracopa Ivory) She's the older of the pair, her tatoo is unreadable, but the guess is she's over 8 years old now... she was on the track for a while(or so we were told)

Freeze (racing name was Bella BW Freeze) she's the youngin' turned 5 in Febuary, I got her when se was a year and a half, after a week on the track, she didn't do to well which amazes us because she's got more energy than any greyhound I've ever met!

Ooh, what gorgeous girls! If we hadn't started out in a small condo, I would have adopted a big grey in a minute.

Here are my four goofball reasons for getting the E  :

LOVE the pics (of the big AND little ones). I have to get some pics of mine posted. I also have greys, three of them, 8,9 and 10 yrs old. They are also the reason I bought the E (and my house, and fenced the yard, and fenced the patio, and gave them one of the spare rooms, and got leather furniture, see a pattern here?). They've only all been in the E once together, but the loved it, and I plan to get them out this weekend too. I also LOVE the iggies and looked into getting one. I have a standing order with the local rescue, if they have one they are having a tough time finding a home for, and think he will fit in my house (they already did the home visit), then give me a call.

Mine actually was more comfy in the old Aerostar. Bigger seats, and bench seats in the back.

Oh Gosh, I had to reply to this. Aren't we all just dog lovers at heart. My pooch has camped with me in the E all the way up to Canada and back twice.
He just loves the E.
It's all his space in the back with seats down. At 136 pounds now, (pic is when he was a puppy) he's on a huge dog bed on top of the seats. Sometimes nose prints get on the ceiling fabric. "Resolve" works real good on those.
smiles and a wink for the dogs.

All the dogs are beautiful. We also got the E for our dog he likes it much better than our Camry that was totalled so we bought the E.

This is Quint the whole reason for the E. D3232628%3A466%3B9nu0mrj

The E was a great solution for us, too. Meet Bailey -- he loves riding shotgun! Definitly an upgrade from the old Pontiac... (

Our two greys!

One on the left is Solara and the one on the right is Orion. They love the E and next time we go for a ride I'll have to snap some pics.

Hoover is the 165 lb reason I bought my E. (his E) With the rear seats out and 2 giant beds on the floor. He's always ready to roll !

I bought my E just two weeks ago, and I took it to the dog shows for the first time saturday and sunday. My hubby built me a 36" x 36" platform that fits inside the wheel wells in the back.(with the seats out) then I have two 36x21x30 wire crates that sit on top of the platform. I bunge the crates to the platform so they dont move around. The dogs that rode in the wire crates could see out the windows and enjoyed the ride. Then between the crates and the front seats, I put a 400 plastic travel crate. I ended taking three intact males to the show with out any problems. At the show, I open the back doors. then I roll down the windows and open the side doors and put them against each other to form a triangle. The boys stayed cool and had a great breeze.

BlueCowDog--Let's see, can I guess an ACD?

Welkom! I think there are a few dog sport/dog show enthusiasts on this board. Here is one of my field/show britts--he is a finished champion. Both majors at 10 months old, finished at 14 months.

For dog owning E drivers, I highly recommend the wolfpaw decals you'll find at the link above. I have a few on my E (back and side windows), in addition to a Samoyed sticker (my Gidget is 3 years old).

Makes it clear who owns the E, and me. :)

I'll post a pic after I figure out how to make a photo file smaller.

Here is a picture of my young boy. I finished him at 9 months. He took a 5 pt major at 7 months at a supported entry with his father going breed. I currently am starting to show him as a speical at the age of 14 months. I am there more for the experience than anything.

Okay, Do we own the E for us or them. I have four children (dogs) 2 rat terriers, a blue heeler/aust shephard mix, and an overweight lab. They all love it and the dirt and hair are so easy to clean up!!!My poor lab started her diet this week but she can only get in the E to go to the lake. Our truck is too high for her. :-(

No doubt about it, the E is Gidget's buggy. After two cross-country trips, it was time to say sayonara to the Miata. :)

Hey BlueCowDog --

Are the 21" crates the special narrow SUV style? I have 36" wire crates for my Border Collies but haven't tried putting them both in the back yet. Right now I have one in back (with the seats still in -- but I'm going to take them out) and a 32" Vari-Kennel sideways behind the front seats.

I have two Border Collies -- one is running in Ranch level classes in USBCHA trials, the other is a hobby sheepdog and my agility dog. I also have a Papillon who is in training to be my short agility dog. The latter two dogs are rescues, the former is a Welsh import.

Here's Solo, my first Border Collie:

Here's Fly looking cute, and me with Fly at a sheepdog trial:

And here's Skeeter demonstrating his recall:

I got the E largely so I would be able to crate the dogs in the car at trials.

I love the 21" wide crates. I had my hubby build me an elevated "6" platform, 3 sided that was 36" x 36". It fits perfectly between the small wheel well humps that are in the back. I put the open side to the back and put two crates on top. Make sure you secure the crates to the platfore with a bunge or something or they will slide slightly and scratch the inside of the E. (trust me on this one) then you can store x pens or water pails or food bowls etc. under the platform. I take the seats out completly when I do this. then you can fit another crate in between the front seats and the crates in the back. I took three intact male cattledogs to a show and had no problems. I did put a blanket between the two in the back just in case. <VBG>

Love your dogs and their pictures. We are just starting to herd with my 15 month boy.

BTW, he went best of Breed on Saturday at the West Palm Beach, FL show but we got dumped in groups. Oh well,
