My thoughts on these mods:

Eleric's got a ghetto-ass grill job. That thing ain't worth $5.00.
BUWHAHA Does that Black E actually say Nippon racewear!?!?!?! WOW RICE AS HELL. :lol:

Other than those two, everything else is cool.
oh right that is it boogreg. first of all it says nippo. I GUESS YOU CANT EVEN READ. and 2nd if you are not gona say anything nice then dont even say anything. and if you gona make fun and insulting our so cal element members here you are gona be dealing with all us. and YOU ARE IN A BIG RICE BOX OR DID YOU FORGET YOU ARE IN A BIG JAPANESE CAR...OH WAIT YOUR CANT EVEN READ THE LOGO TO TELL WHAT KIND OF A CAR IT WAS. I did basically nothing to my E. It is fairly stock. <-- Have you fun with that. Ricer ( in a negative connotation) doesn't simply mean the car is japanese. It usually is corrolated with the bad choices of customization the owner applies to it. The word has such generality that it encompasses cars from all over the world. Guys, as we discussed at our meet, there are certain personalities like boogerg on every board and the best coarse of action is to just ignore any comments you may find offensive and report the post the the board's mods to review.

boogerg, please exercise a bit of self-censorship before you post any comments other members might find to be offensive. Sure you could say whatever you want (although being a privately owned board, the site admin can choose to censor what he wishes at any given time) but please consider that what you choose to say in this forum is potentially offensive to many within our little E community.

I have seen plenty of posts on this forum making fun of "RICER" type of mods.
I think everyone who puts something on the "WORLD WIDE WEB" should expect all sorts of comments. Thats why they put them there! If not, well, maybe you should hang your pictures on your refrigerator at home.
I think Booggerg's comments are good for this forum. He gets people fired up.
Personally, I would rather Booggerg to another post about a fukkin cracked windshield.
Rumor has it that he was banned from the "other" forum for his comments.
Now THAT is gay!

Booggerg has a right to express his opinion as we all do--I even agree with him sometimes, including his most recent one. However some people are more sensitive than others, and with this in mind I would ask that he would show a little restrain in his descriptive phrasing.

Damien: I'm very particular when It comes to mods. I value quality, not quantity. I don't give people praise just for adding "stuff" to their car. I haven't done anything to my car yet because I'm not entirely sure of how long I'll be keeping the E. It wouldn't make much sense to spend bunch of money and then having to sell it, and not getting much at all in return on the mods. Do I always dis other's rides? Do you guys simply turn a blind eye whenver I do give praise? Can you read my previous post again?

I directed nothing personal at you, I wouldn't think I need to pretty up anything I say because i would think members here are savvy enough to take the comments with the appropriate context. You're saying you're taking it personally? Do you feel that way whenever someone looks at your racewear and decides not to buy it? Nice pics, and nice rides. Some of the E's I could not care for, since they were done poorly IMO: but to each their own.

I have to agree with Boog and people need to relax and not take things so seriously. I was part of and still am part of other car forums and from time to time people just need to relax.....

When all said and balanced I think I actually agree with booBerg :-o

Whats that down there...ice? Is hell freezing over.

Rarely does the boob say things to be personal...he is very blunt and to the point and at times people take it personally.

I do think that grill mod was sorta cheesy as well. The best DIY mod done on the grill is the whole light panel mod done by Yog-E and someone else. So now when I see others they just dont measure up.

Also, it seems to me that the whole "rise" thing is very in style in terms of California style. Not like you are going to see a lot of "beefed" up E's in Souther Cal.

i used a german wax polish to get that stuff off...but it is hard i had to be very carefull...when i tried it the first time i scrached up my door.
the wax is called eins zeet 1 z paint polish. they also have the full wax and that works also. but for me i peal it of slowly and put tons of it on the stickey parts and wat for it to dry a little and the slowly rub it off. if you want the paint polish i can send some to you.

I would hope the admins here don't become wussies like over there...The rule to follow in forum posting is to criticize ideas, but never a person. So I can say someone's Element looks like a Pimp My Ride failure, but I should never say they are obviously a pimp for creating it.

Your straight-forward intelligent (and funny) evaluation of that E on the other forum was just about the car, and looked right-on to me, but may have been a breaking back-straw over there for some reason. I see no problem in strong, but fair, evaluations of any Element or idea.

Yea you can do a "roll call" style on the windows. Argg...there was a website I saw recently that would actually make a custom roll call sticker with the brands/companies of your choice in any order, shape, size, or color.

Might be ideal for what you are doing!

Naw.. I just tend to try not to work on my car outdoors so I can get into fights with cabbies parked in my vicinity.. A bad combination by any means.. :lol:

I also find it ironic that all the uproar I've caused from my critique of a car led to all kinds of personal attacks on me, where the attackers themselves claim the reason for their firing back was I somehow attacked them personally... LMAO. go figures, these people always make the most sense!

the reason i took them off was because i only needed them for the sema show. after that when i drove around people keep coming up to me and kids keep asking me for sponsering their ride...which i could not because i dont have my sponsership after sema. so i just took them off but left my company logo on which was orginally on there. but yea better to be on the window then on the body...it took me the whole day to take that stuff off. a lot of work. i am thinking about doing my logo in a diffrent style for next year.

hey phil thanks for this post. i agree with you. i mean element owners are a very small group as it is and we dont need people like boog making comments like that. people took time and thinking for their mods and for someone who has never done anything to their element and start talking trash about other elements and what they done to it is not called for. espically the reason why people mod their element is to push for element to be special in the market and get more people to support what we do.
i took it personally becuase he not only critized me but also people from the so cal element group here. it is already hard enough to organize the meet with over 25 elements and we had a very nice meet and i dont want him bring in all the hate and throw insults at people's mods.
when i see a bad mod on a car i dont say anything even at a import car shows because i know i dont have the right to say anything bad because first it is not my ride and second i did not spend the time doing the mods and most importantly i know how much time and thinking went in to people's choices for rims or other custom stuff and work they have done there for it is not my right to say anything bad.
and booggred you are the one that need to grow up beause you dont understand the concept of self control. next time keep the bad comments to your self and if you have not done the work on your car you have no right to juge others. watch what you say and next time when you call some one's ride a ricer they might take that as a insult to their race like the n word. i know on the east coast they dont take that term kindly. on the west coast...well...if you say ricer is not personal attack...i dont know what is.....hince a huge population of asians ....who knows what the gangs out here will do if you call them that.

While I agree with some of what you say, thats not right either. Everyone is entitiled to their opinion, whether good or bad, regardless of their ability to even do any mods. He never said anything about you or your work, yet now people are throwing insults such as the welfare smear at him. NEVER has he stooped to that level.

And ricer is no where near as bad as the n word. Seriously we all know what the worse names are that are thrown at the asian community that are equivalent to the n word, and ricer is NOT one of them. Besides we all user ricer here as a term related to car styles...it has nothing to do with people :x

Should someone sugar coat their opinion just to appease others? Why are you letting a single persons comments get under your skin?

This is easily turning into a East Coast vs West Coast thing. The style it seems for ALL rides out there is to go the tuner route, where it is not as prevelant out here. You cant seriously expect not to get any criticism on a style that just doesnt fly as well out here.

And the boob is right...if anyone posts pics on the interent for anyone to see, they have to be prepaired for the good or bad.

The whole problem with this argument is that NO, HE DIDN'T, he called the big "Nippo Racewear" sticker and the "skunk stripe" "rice." And they ARE, like it or not. He did not pick out any individuals and dis them them, only the cars. You're the one who took it personally and took it to another level.

the car is a extension of your self and your personality there for a comment like boogs is aimed at not only the car but also the owner. if you say stuff like that at shows or meets people would get pissed off and the same goes on here.. i know the owner of the other element he dissed is a little hurt about what he said. like i said before no one has the right to make insulting comments, not here and not anywhere on this board. we are already a small enough group of car owners there no need for one to say things like that here...and also this is not the last time he has pissed off people about what he said. so when he say it is not personal...well just look at why some other people are pissed at him too and why he got kicked off.
