Hey Folks,

She's finally done (for now). Yippee! Just a bit of fine tuning here and there.

Everything's VOICE CONTROLLED (Mp3's, Movies, NAV)! Many Thx to BUDMAN for pointing me in the right direction. lol

The Rear Door Speakers cut out when an Aux Speaker is plugged in. Great for tailgates you place them on the Roof!

Here's the last of them...

Thx, Phil
ps not to mention the Side Marker Mod, CR Grille, Fiamm Horns, Thule and Honda Racks, Honda Wheel Locks and Locking Gas Cap, State of the Art Remote Two-Way Paging Alarm/Starting System, Tinted Drv's/Pass Windows and Skylight, Honda Carpet Mats, Aiwana Rear Carpet. Also, not shown... Privacy Curtain, Skylight Scn, Windshield Shade, and the Rollout Hide the Sh*t in the back thing (don't remember what it's called). LOL That's it for now  And, most importantly, I did them all MYSELF and proud of it!:-D

Wow.

So the computer swivels out of the way when you have to shift? Manufacturer/vendor info on the floor mount, please.

Like the side strips, too. Info?

Congrats on all your hard work, looks great :)

I'd like to know about those side strips too. :)

Computer mount looks like a "Jotto Desk" to me. Search for that name and you should be able to find it or something similar. I have (or had) one in my project pile to put in the E, but the need went away proximate to our move West.

Phil, the finishing touch would be to corral some of those wires. Be thinking sticky-back wire clips and cable wraps, possibly even wire loom.

Is that a police cruiser? doesn't that freaki'n laptop block your view? Everything is cool except for that stupid laptop mount. Your freakin' interior looks like a factory test vehicle. I'd spend money on an actual GPS unit over that setup ANYDAY...

I agree with Boog on most points. Your E is cool for some, but I have no interest in half of the stuff you've placed in your interior. You have to be happy, but when your car gets broken into let us know.

And this is coming from a person in the IT Field for 13 years. Enjoy it, that is all that counts.

Can we get some better pictures of your neighbor?

BTW....Nice E...I don't like the wires, if those were cleaned up a bit I would give it two thumbs up!!!

Even without wires, it simply looks ridiculous.. I'm sure that screen will bounce like none-other around its pivot considering the hard suspension on the E

A little cluttered for my taste. I share your fondness for gadgets, though.

Could win the"Most Mods" award?

I agree with most of the comments. A Panasonic Toughbook would have been better, but pricey (yes the same ones in police cruisers).

I think the thing I dislike the most is the side strips, just look bad in my taste.

The coolest thing that is sweet is that rear door speaker tap...awesome.

OK, I will go "put a sock in it" now, because I have a feeling that is what is coming next.

The audio plug in the door was clever.. but after seeing the laptop, I'd give it the "hack job of the season" award.

One more vote for the "Hack Job" Award. BTW the speaker tap is cool but makes no sense....

Hey Ramblerdan,

Thx. Yes. Got it on EBay from eplanet. His email is eplanet3@yahoo. Some minor mods to fit E. It mounts to a seat bracket bolt w/o drilling any holes! Plus, when the Lappy is off you can use the mount as a desk! See 11th for info on side strips.

11th - Thx. Mouldings from CustomAutoTrim.com

MIKEQBF - Yes. Similar to Jotto but not as expensive. Wires are out of the way when Lappy is open and in place. I swiveled the unit (exposing the wires) to show the back. They loop over the shifter. Wire Loom can't be used since they're attached in different places so the Loom would only fit on a small section with the remaider (wires) still visible. The sticky back clips may be a possibility but not necessary.

MIA - Everything can be brokendown and removed within a few min so no worries about theft. What is fun for some may not be for others. "Hack Job"? I sense jealousy. Ha. Let's see what you've done to your E? Hmmmm? Have and have not that's what this world is about. The "Speaker Tap" is for TAILGATE PARTIES or you haven't figured that out yet! "I agree with Boog on most points." - What a crying shame! Blind leading the Blind.

BOOB - What a WHINING CRY BABY. Too bad you can't afford these nice TOYS. What YOU buy a GPS (and GOD FORBID spend some $ on an accessory)? Get REAL. HA! LOL I'm not wealthy, just self-made, d*ck!

YOGE - Thx. It's actually not cluttered. When it's open and set-up the wires are all hidden. Plus there's plenty of room in the E to still stretchout and relax while watching a movie or playing a game on a big Lappy screen. Can surf and download new Mp3's from my network too.

BIGZ - Thx. Oh yeah, some of those wires are for my HEADSET MIC since the appz on the Lappy are controlled via VOICE COMMAND! Nope she's spoken for. Mob lives next door. They do "stuff" for me if I need. Capice?

LW - The goal was to utilize and revitalize an old LAPPY for my E-LAPPY PROJECT so spending more money on a new Laptop with power and features that would go unused in the E environment was unnecessary. Personally, I think DOOR DINGS look worse but you seem to like them. Yes, you now know what to do "sock" LOL

STEEL - The LAPPY is for NAVIGATION, and ENTERTAINMENT. Most of the appz are under VOICE COMMAND! LOOK MA, NO HANDS. lol

NETINMAN - READ again verrrrrry carrrrrefullly. It's under VOICE COMMAND. JEALOUSY (envy) one of the seven deadly sins. Again, the Blind leading the Blind.

SNARF - Thx. Most stores that carry the PhoenixGold line should have it.

TOM108 - Kewl. I thought you said you had bid this club farewell and you weren't coming back? What's that word... Hypocrite. lol
Thx, Phil

Lots of work in that E. I guess if I were to live in my E I would want all that stuff. I am at a loss as to why you would need to operate a laptop while driving. I spend about 10 hours a day on the computer at work and home, but no way in the car. Maybe a traveling salesman job?

You're talking people down because you're more wealthy?? LOL you're an idiot...

BTW, I would hardly call an old Dell laptop and a POS subwoofer "nice toys". But i guess everyone has their own standards..

Have to say I'm with Boog on this one - the "you can't afford these" comment was totally unnecessary and comes across as a defensive reaction to getting "youw wittle feewings huwt." Grow up and try to focus on driving instead of playing on your "lappy."

Didn't someone start a thread recently about the dumbest things they've seen people doing while driving? Something about a motorcyclist talking on a cell phone. I think we have a new contender...Regardless of the appearance of the mods, it just plain scares the hell out of me to think of someone on the roads diddling with their computer from the driver's seat.

That said, the rear speaker port is clever.

Happy computering to you, and thank goodness you don't live in my town.

QK, you definately need to hide those wires. You have some neat ideas, and I like that power disconnect in blue by phoenix. Gotta find one.

My posts were not meant to offend you, just given an honest opinion. I bought my E for a commuter car, not to modify it to the gills. Although I'm for modifying cars in general. I have had my share of toys and still have enough toys and houses that you will ever come across in a life time.

I do not wish to compare my E with your E and all that childish stuff. All that counts is that you are happy with your E. Bottom line. If you go ahead and marry an UGLY wife, but are happy for the next 40 years that is your doing.

BTW, being an owner of a company here in NJ I own 4 houses, 6 cars 2 motorcylces and so on. Big ****ing deal. Jealousy is the last thing I ever have of anyone. I have my life, my wife and my daughter and that is all I need.

Relax and enjoy yourself and btw I also tailgate and that would be cool to have a speaker, but IMO not something I would do.

Everything is a good idea. The door molding isn't that appealing to me. It kinda looks out of place. It looks a little too big. But yeah. Hide the wires and call it a day. :)

Boog, does this classify as QKM being "served?" Just wondering.

Oh and Net, get used to it cause thats how he does all his comebacks. Expect him to tell you to "put a sock in it"

Wow, thats definately a lot of effort. How about a nice "A" for effort. (clap, clap)

Sigh, but its still a hack job, I'm glad you like it because with all that effort somebody really should like it.

QKM: You do have enough sense of not picking up a chic in a car like that do you? Don't tell me you unscrew the laptop mount everytime you go on a date.

OK. We seem to have not taken the repeated hints that the personal attacks have to stop. The only reason I have not deleted this thread outright is that Phil took the time to take and post the pix. However, I am locking it down.
