Does anyone have any tips as to what I should do to my Element to prep it for offroad. The terrain shouldnt be to bad but I think a few extra inches and protective gear for my element couldnt hurt. I want 1-3 inches of lift. Any suggestions?

fuhgettaboudit, as they say.

the best you can do is put on slightly larger tires, and get maybe another 1/2 inch. there are no lift kits. there are no skid plates.

i would recommend you carry a full-sized spare in addition to the donut, and drive slowly over the rough stuff.

Back in the mid 70's to early 80's I use to go surfing down in Baja Calif, and at that time we didn't have "lifted" trucks at all. We drove down in a standard Chevy 'LUV'S" and Datsun King Cab trucks. I doubt that you well have any problems in a stock Element. I'm sure a lot of our old surfing spots aren't there any more.. Have fun..
