First off, I'm a Meguire's devotee, so being that I've had my E for 2 weeks now, I'm looking to give it it's first spit polish.

Now the main thing I am trying to accomplish, is speed. I know there are wax and wash products out there, but I'm not convinced.

I have a SUPER DUPER cordless drill and would like to make it into a applicator/buffer for the wax. I ran across this to buff it out, http://www.woody-wax.com/woody_wax_r.php

although, I think shop towels are too scratchy. I do like the setup though. (Hmm, ujoint, hardwood handle instead?)

Has anyone heard of an attachment for a drill to apply the wax, or should I just risk the carpal tunnel for a few days?

HAPPY 4TH EVERYONE!

Many years ago I purchased waxing and buffing attachments for my corded and cordless drills. Never worked even close to my satisfaction. Now, however, my shoes are buffed to perfection in record time.
The only powered tool worth considering is the Porter Cable polishing kit. The Autopia site tells all about it.

As a fellow Meg's fan I recommend you just use the liquid NXT on your Element. Easy on easy off and looks outragious. There's just not that much sheet metal on the Element so the job goes pretty quickly. Nix on the shop towels, Costco sells a bag of microfiber towels fairly cheap. I use cotton diapers because I have a five foot pile of 'em in our back closet from when our kids were babies.
