Hey Everyone,

I'm back after my two week "vacation". lol

Man, did I get a lot done (I used to peruse the forums for upwards of an hour or more! You'll never know how much more you can get done with the extra time.) during my hiatus

During the interim I was doing some electrical work under the E's dash and I used my trusty mech's rubber mat so I wouldn't scratch anything. Prob is it kept falling off so I used two strips of duct tape on each corner to hold it in place.

Now, the E's interior plastic has white residue from the duct tape. How/what can I use to remove this residue w/o harming or discoloring the plastic?

Thx, Phil
ps I'm a "BAD BOY" now! lol

I'd try denatured alcohol, then 303.

Welcome back.

Mineral spirits will soften the duct tape glue.

(But, try it on a hidden spot first to be sure it doesn't make things worse.)

Hey Fellas,

How about "Gumout" or "WD40"? Or would these be too harsh?

Thx, Phil

I think I would try "GOO GONE". It seems to work on everything my 7 year old can stick gum and Barbie stickers on. It doesn't seem to be too harsh on anything yet....YET!!!!!!!
