Have seen quite a few E's here in Jax, particularly on base at NAS Jax and driving around town. I am looking to get the 2WD EX (automatic so my wife can drive it, too, if ever I need a designated driver), preferably in Rallye Red.
I am curious as to where everyone else bought theirs and what kind of deals they got. The local dealers I have been in touch with have not offered any deals that are even remotely similar to what I have read about here. I guess invoice is as good as I am going to get, and as far as waiving destination or other dealer fees are concerned - forget about it.
I don't think I can wait till close to the end of the year because I may not be able to get what I want, anyway. What do you think? One dealer in St. Augustine (Coggin Honda) has offered me 20,262 and change, out the door - that's after the 7% sales tax and unknown dealer fees (tag fees will vary whether it's a transfer or new). Problem is, he doesn't have what I am looking for in stock, but he said he can get it (don't thay always say that, though?).

You've probably seen mine on base, I'm currently working at the Region, bld 919. I picked min up at Duval Honda on Cassat Ave. They seem to have a good selection and had just what I wanted. After a lot of negotiating I got the EX w/AWD, roof rack and mud guards for $20,250. 1.9% financing sealed the deal for me, it really keeps the payments down. Happy to talk with you more if you want, just PM me. I think Duval Honda offers $100 for referals that purchase, I'd gladly split that with you if you end up buying there which will lop $50 off your purchase price.

Just bought mine....not that good of an experience.....but I really hate dealerships. I got mine for right at invoice 20,675 (AWD EX) with fog lights as the only option. I don't like to finance options unless I really don't feel comfortable installing them.

So, I just installed my Sirius and ordered the floor mats, mud flaps, rear bumper protector and the wider arm rest.

Ollie,
What dealer did you get this from? Just curious, if you don't mind. Will probably look in earnest and close the deal before this month ends.

Hello!

This may not work for you but it did for my husband. We live in Naples. It is very hard to get a good deal here. So.........We went "shopping" in other areas where the element was selling slower. We ended up buying almost two hours a way from home but we paid about 7,000.00 dollors less plus they where more willing to bend over to make us happy. All in all it was worth the drive for us.

Well its just a thought anyway. GOOD LUCK.

Box,
Where did you end up buying, if you don't mind my asking?

Hey all,, we got our E down at St Aug,, much better deal than they were offering at Lucas,, but I usually take it, and my teenage son's Civic, to Lucas' for service. I like their service dept. better.

It was fun while it lasted! I was that close to getting a 2WD RR EX but I guess it was good that I hadn't yet. I am getting transferred to Japan soon and I will have to put ownership of an E on hold for a few years while I am stationed there. I will try to keep in touch with this forum and post pics and stuff of whatever they might have over there for the E. Who knows? Maybe when I come back to the States, the E will have better gas mileage!

So long...hope you enjoy Japan.....When you get back and are looking for a deal on an E, try Wade Raulerson in Gainesville.....Got much better deal there than any dealer in Jacksonville.....The have NO dealer fees and are a much smaller dealership so you get more attention (sort of like Duval Honda used to be).

We bought ours at Coggin in St. Augustine.
I would have liked to purchase it from Duval Honda as they are about two miles from our house, but a jerk of a partsman and a GM who couldn't be bothered screwed themselves out of a sale.
I had Coggin get me the one I wanted off of the Duval lot. Piece of cake!
2005 LX AWD 5sp, Cargo khaki: $18,400.

Just found out I'll be returning to Japan next summer...looks like my "E" will spend a couple of years in storage.

Hi to all this is Jeremy LaTraverse
I'm an Internet Manager for Coggin Honda of Jacksonville.
My prices for all Elements will be Invoice plus of course tax tag and dealer fees. I also will be able to have accessories bought at dealer cost plus labor to install. Now I know some may say you bought yours or can buy it lower somewhere else. I have no problem looking at any deal just please remember most will say anything to get you to come to their dealership and also some may have put money down or had a trade. I'm much honored to be a dealer for this site. Also have huge specials for all Honda Models and I'm also the #1 product advisor for my dealership for any who may have a product question. My Honda family- 2005 Odyssey EXL R&N, 2005 Civic LX-SE, and 2006 Ridgeline RTL-sponsored truck from Players Club Motorsports with Rockford Fosgate and a 1997 CIVIC EX sponsored by Matrix Motorsports with Orion and MB Quart.

I just spoke to Jeremy and am trying to put something together with him and will report back when i get something solid. It will be a real pleasure to get someone in florida that makes good deals because so far the experience has been fairly frustrating.. this forum has kept me hanging in there... I have a black 2004 Element with a grill....I live just south of Middleburg, near Camp Blanding....I tried to buy our Element from Coggin in St Augustine and we specifically wanted a black Element with a manual transmission. Found one on the internet at Coggin in Deland. St Augustine said it was sold , but he could get me a dark blue one from Jax. I called Deland and they said the the black one was not sold and he would have no problem putting it on hold for me. Gave me a better price than St Augustine and their service dept is outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend the short drive to Deland. I will be buying my next Honda from them!
