: COOL Engine Starter button

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but I just saw a little blurb in the April issue of Wired magazine...how the author added the Honda S2000's red starter button (part # 35881-S2A-911) to his '89 Civic. There's no logical reason to do this to the Element, but it sure would be cool. Anyone done this yet? Is it extremely difficult? Would they do it for me at the dealership? (I'm very un-handy with these sort of things)

I would be interested in having one installed because I have an S2000, and when I go to drive the Element Monday morning, I reach for that red button!

i wonder if the red button would fit right over or in place of the hazard light button on the shift console... that would be pretty cool.

...until you needed the hazards.

Who needs the hazards? E's never break down! :D

Not for breaking down. I put them on when I get pulled over by 5-0. Just got my first ticket in my Ellie today :( That sounds bad...I don't get tickets all the time. I really am not used to my Ellie yet and didn't know I was going that fast. I am a great driver

I'm using the cruise a lot... I had 3 tickets in my last car 'cause it was bright yellow an cops loved to tag me, so now I'm watching my ass. But yes, it's very easy to go faster than you think you're going in the E!

the engine start button would take the place of the hazard button... but it would still function as a hazard button when you pressed it....... it wouldn't REALLY be the engine start button....

I don't know about that starter button.
I guess it might be cool to have something like that.
peace out

Some of the CRV guys have installed the 2000 starter on their vehicles.

I did the S2000 push start button on my Eclipse and it was a very hard project, you do not have to use the only round hole you see, just make one with a dremel where ever you choose. great little thing though, does not add speed but sure does look good. if you are looking for speed just add stickers, they always make you go faster.
