I have an orange neon bar in the back of my SOP (front edge of sunroof) which illuminates the interior nicely, so I keep my dash lights at the lowest setting. However, the white map lights up front are blinding under those conditions. Anyone know what the method is for removing the light covers so I can replace the map lights with colored bulbs, or maybe just lay a colored gel in there?

I think that this info is in the manual. If not I am sure that it is in the CRV manual and it should be the same.

All the shop manual says is "carefully pry the lenses off with a small screwdriver." Start at the outside edge.

Found what your looking for there are gel sleeves at Pep Boys in the "FAst and Furious" section which are red and green which you simply sleve the bulb in to get the desired loght color. Kinda cool I am not a fan of the whole rice rocket bragade but I even think it would be nice to have red map lights
