I bought those new mr.clean sponges that cleans the rims. THose things i totally recommend. I cannot tell you how good these things are.

At first i was skeptical about them but it is the best damn thing u can use to clean your rims w/ no effort at all. All u have to do is wet the sponge and very lightly wipe the rim, when the sponge gets dirty u just spray water on it and watch the dirt disapper.. This sponge is better than the MR.Clean drying system. Im telling u everyone should try this. 1 sponge should be able to clean all 4 rims b4 you have to throw it out.

They are also great for taking wax off the plastic panels instead of using messy peanut butter.

Are these the same Magic Eraser as the ones for the walls in the home?

I use damp Bounty paper towels to clean my rims....works like a charm.

But, when I get around to waxing the E - Mr. C should come in handy! Thanks

Paper towels will scratch your rims. After all, those wheels are clear coated just like the paint on your hood. And you wouldn't use paper towels to clean your hood, would you?

Costco sells a pack of like 50 cotton towels for $9. Use them to clean your rims. They are so cheap that you don't mind throwing them away when you are finished.

Paper towels will scratch your rims.

I totally disagree with your assessment. What type of paper towels are you using.....40 grit?!

Maybe I should've put emphasis on "damp." There is no way you could cause any damage by cleaning your rims with "damp" paper towels....especially Bounty paper towels.

I will say.....that I do not recommend using Bounty paper towels for windows. They often seem to leave a film after cleaning. But that's for another thread.

Paper towels are made of wood fibre and will scratch, you may not see them but they are there. That's why you should never clean your sunglasses with paper towel or kleenex.
