: Common silly questions you get asked about your E?
Ok, so far the top ones I get repeatedly asked are:
"Does that top come off and turn it into a truck?"
"Is that one of those electric hybrids?"
"Is that an Aztek?" SLAP!

beyondnascar 05-07-2003, 06:44 PM Is that a new mini-Hummer?
MistyMills 05-08-2003, 11:31 AM So far I got the minihummer one once, I was asked if it's a 'real' car or if I made it myself (because we web designers are so good at fabricating cars), I've been asked a billion times:
"Who makes it?"
"Honda."
"What's it called?"
"Element."
"A what?"
"Element."
"Element?"
"Yeah, Element."
"That's a strange name."
"Yeah."
"Element? You sure? From Honda?"
"Yeah, I'm sure."
"Never heard of it."
Other favorites include:
"Does the top come off? It looks like it should." (Maybe a suggestion for next year's model?)
"Is that new?"
"Don't you think it's kind of ugly?" (Yeah, that's why I got it.)
And several others. I was joking with my husband that we need to start a FAQ.
lon777 05-08-2003, 12:34 PM Since i took off the big chrome H on the back, my favorite is "who puts those out?".
zozohead 05-16-2003, 07:16 AM What is that thing?
A car.
A what?
Honda Element.
It looks like a contraption.
It's the new Honda.
Huh. A what?
Element.
Oh.
Looks like a mini-hummer.
I love it.
It's funny looking.
I like the way it looks.
You don't see many of them.
You will.
foxtail 05-16-2003, 08:43 AM Dropped my husband at the motor pool this morning, and he called later to report that when he went in, he was met by a chorus of, "What the hell was that?"
I love my E. :D

Aykew 05-16-2003, 09:16 AM The most common question I get is "how do you like that thing?". Now THAT is a silly question! How could I stand to NOT love me E?

tripster 05-22-2003, 08:34 AM My favorite heard thru rolled down window.
"EEwwww!!!" from kids on corner pointing.
:D
I was sitting outside next to my E the other day and a family walked by.
Woman: "What is that?"
Man (knowingly) "It's a Honda."
:)
Sons of Liberty 05-29-2003, 10:38 AM One of my friends thought it was called the "Honda Helmet". Well, after taking a step back and looking at it, it does kind of look like a helmet.

BriBoy01 11-26-2003, 03:30 AM While camping this summer I was in the camper with the windows open but lights out and i hear a few people talking about how ugly that this was so i slowly get up walk out and go get in it and the woman looks at me and asks "Is that yours?" No lady i was down the street and heard you talking so i thought i come open it up. uuugghhhh ignorant people.
And a lady stopped me in michigan to ask me if it was electric and then when i said no she said are you sure? well unless all that money i payed for gasoline to drive here was really liquid electricity im sure it gas powered.
lae10851 11-26-2003, 09:59 AM Yeah, is that your car has to rank up there with some of the stupidest questions asked - especially when you have the key in your hands.
I also like "Can you really wash the inside of that thing out?"
or
Elderly man with wife: Does that thing have a 4 or 6 in it?
Me: Not sure, but I think its a 4.
E M: Are you suer? Whats the HP?
Me: Like 160 HP.
E M: 160!?!?!?! It must be a 6! It couldnt be a 4! Not with 160 HP.
