Driving to Ohio in a couple of weeks. It's a last minute decision and I want to know if anyone knows of any cool places to site see on the way and go off roading. I've never been out that way and I can't wait to take my new E on a road trip. Any suggestions guys?

U.S. Air Force Museum, Dayton
Cedar Point amusement park, Sandusky (up by Cleveland)
Honda factory, East Liberty (northwest of Columbus), if you can get in on a tour

(I used to live in Bay Shore. Still good garlic knots there?)

Thanx for the suggestions so far. Cedar Point seems to be a popular one. So I'll look into that and the Honda factory also being that i just bought one.

And yeah we still do have good garlic knots!

Don't bother with the scenic drive along the Ohio River east of Cincinnati in spite of the green dots on the map. The trees are so overgrown the only time you see the river is when you pass a trailer park.

I second the Air Force Museum. Also consider Kings Island and the Cincinnati area if you will be in the south end of the state. If you are going to be in the Cleveland area my picks would be the Rock-N-Roll hall of fame, Cedar Point and Put In Bay in Sandusky. If your going to be in the Columbus area try the Columbus Zoo, the COSI center and the downtown area.

You guys are gonna think I am retarded but I don't even know what part I am going to. I know..I know...but there is a good reason, well there's a reason ( whether it's good or not I don't know ). I am going with my best friend to visit her uncle. She was going to fly but I told her that I would go with her only if we drove. I have been dying to go on a road trip with the E.. that I just I jumped at the chance and didn't even get the details.

I will find out tho. That way I can narrow down the suggestions.

Just keep on driving thru the Buckeye State till you end up in the land of the Hoosiers. "Back Home Again in Indiana" is the place to seriously do motoring in the E. Go North to the Indiana Dunes, or South to Nashville House in Brown County State Park (try their fried chicken, homemade biscuits and applebutter) and browse the hundreds of little artist's shops, then visit the villages of Santa Clause, ShakeRag and KnawBone. In the central part, visit Conner's Prairie Farmstead, and then see the famous 500 mile race track and museum in Speedway, Indiana. Before heading back home, conclude it all with a big T-bone steak st St Elmo's Steak House in Indianapolis (ranked as one of the top 5 steak houses in the USA). You will find the hospitality "down-home and first class." Enjoy

Don't forget Annie Oakly and her grave site. One of the most famous Buckeyes. That's a nice drive in the Greenville area. Also you could stop and have a burger at the chewing gum building. The Maid Rite hamburger place in Greenville. Best tasting burger I ever had and very clean.

Akron is pretty much in the Cleveland area. I would at least take a trip to the edge of the lake and see the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Maybe get a few picks of your E with the building in the back ground. Have fun and let us know how it goes :)
