Hey Aka,

Are the fans for cooling the third amp not shown? I'm assuming it's in a "false floor" type box, correct?

Does the sub hinder your driving? Nice install.

Thx, Phil

I too am curious about what those fans are for since the amps are on top of the rack?

It also looks like you have a manual transmission..how does that work with that console box thing? How about the emergency brake?

Post a shot from the drivers seat if you can, the profile of your box! Very cool.

Yo! Lets see some more pics of that sub box. A couple from the front would be nice, because I'd like to see what you did with the "e" brake.

Thanks!

well first of all i'd like to say thank you for the compliments on the work george (friend) and I did.

to answer a few questions...

A couple from the front would be nice, because I'd like to see what you did with the "e" brake.
i'll snap some tonite as my wife has the E already at work... the E brake is fully functional and not obstructed at all... that was my #1 concern

I too am curious about what those fans are for since the amps are on top of the rack?
they are there to create air flow for in the back incase the amps get warm. I've never had this problem but i will be making a removable cover for the entire amp area that will protect the amps when she is working with the truck (she's a production manager for a professional painting company) so she needs to be able to use the back still which will basically enclose them completely.... there isn't another amp below the false floor we made as the wife needs/wants to keep the spare tire.

Does the sub hinder your driving? Nice install.
nope not at all. that was another concern we dealt with. i find it helpful as now i have an arm rest for when i drive as well as some thump. :) i can easily reach the shifter (manual) while still resting my elbow on the box so it makes things easy for me... my wife is getting used to it (shorter arms.lol) and she likes it.

Update on the stereo as a whole... i sold the deck and am putting in a 6.5" LCD DVD all in one unit tonite. I will have pics this evening or tomorrow depending on my time.

Cheers

JK, Nice work!

ah i was wondering when someone would mention that....
we actually are still able to access the front cupholder so in reality we are only down one for the passanger (they can suck it up for the sweet sounding sub IMO :) ) that said I'm coming up with a resolution for the one missing cupholder as well as a place for our blackberries (we always have two in the car) so they aren't sliding around and such...
all in due time

Thats exactly what I want to do, with the Kicker sub between the front seats. How exactly did you do it? Can you get some pics from the front and side? That is so awesome.
