I was on the way to lower Greenville avenue, tooling around Abrams Road right in the heart of Lakewood, and saw a black Element about 200 ft in front of me.

I was excited to see the E on the move. I had seen one other - silver - in motion, about 2 months ago. That wasn't a really strong first impression but I've grown to love the E since then. And that little black Element looked like King of the Road in front of me! Whee!

Well I zigged and zagged in traffic until I got behind it. Then the Element turned in the general direction I was heading anyway, so I followed. (How stalkery of me!)

When the man driving stopped, I gestured for him to roll down his window. I asked him how he liked his E. He immediately said he loved it. He thought it was fun, had tons of room in it for his own comfort and for carrying stuff, and was really pleased. I told him I was going to buy one too and I was really excited.

I smiled and wished him a lot of enjoyment of his car and safe driving. He wished me the same. I went on my way.

This guy was *very* handsome. He looked good in the E, and the E looked good on him. :D

We Element people are pretty special, aren't we? :wink:

Gee, at 51, I need to look better! I guess I better not tell the wife.

On Tuesday I ran into my first Club Owner on the road....we exchanged E-lated waves.....then we ran into each other again the same day! Imagine that!

By the time I got back on the computer that night....there was a message on the St. Louis board "Was that you?" I think it is great....it was very cool not only to see another E....but also a member!

Also I had a woman stop me last week at an intersection....much like you did with this man.....she motioned to me to roll down the window....then started asking all sorts of questions and told me she was going to go buy!

I love this car and all the good that is brings out in people :)
So much for the VW bug being the peace, love and happiness car!

The funny thing is I visited friends in Dallas for a wedding.
Two weeks later my friend emailes me his pix of his new E
Orange one.
He was hooked from jump street.
He called it the anti beetle.

Lower Greenville - one of favorite areas of Big D. The worlds best fajitas and margaritas are served at Desparados (Between Lovers Lane and Mockingbird on Greenville). Dammit, now I'm hungry for said fajitas and margaritas and i won't be in D until 19 July.
