Help! I am a cancer survivor and I have a purple magnetic purple ribbon on the tailgate of my E. One day at work, I noticed that the guy parked next to me had an 82nd Airborne yellow ribbon. At the end of the day, some idiot had switched my purple ribbon with his 82nd Airborne ribbon.

In the process of switching the ribbons, part of the ribbon I had on must have melted and part of it is stuck to the paint. How do I get it off without scratching or ruining the paint?

Sounds like someone didn't have a good layer of wax on their car! tisk tisk! :shock:

The magnet material is rubber/petroleum based. So a good bug and tar remover like Stoners Tarminator should remove the magnet pieces. Then once it is gone, wax your car and wax the back of that magnet.

good old lighter fluid (ronsons) is the BEST for removing stuck on stuff.

Congratulations on beating the cancer. I, too, am a survivor and owe it all to the "greatest" Oncologist on the planet. But tell me, what's the significance of the Purple Ribbon?
