: Our Element towing our T@B

I wanted to camp more, but my wife wanted the air conditioning. We chose the T@B alufiber after checking with the Honda dealership about towing. We've had the T@B since August with five camping trips behind us. No issues towing at all. Thought I would post a picture of the two together.

very nice! How about some more pics of it? Some interior shots also. What does it weigh? How does it tow?

I'll grab a few interior pics this weekend as I just noticed most are a bit dark. The trailer weighs 1420 lbs. We paid just $15k for it, but they start around $8500 and you add options. I am attaching a few more exterior pictures, including one with the optional tent room we purchased. If you want any technical information, the company website is www.tab-rv.com. Let me know if you have more questions.

Regards,
Jim

Wouldn't it be easier to camp inside the Element ? With the $15,000 you save on a trailer, you could stay in the Marroit or Hilton......The trailer is very nice!

True, but I get little worried about being escorted out of the Hilton for drinking beer around the campfire in my room.

Great photo's! We have wanted a t@b for sometime now and always thought that the two would go together so well. Thanks for showing us how cool we'll look cruising into the next campground!

Nice! I've seen those trailers before - driven past a dealership (or factory, not sure) on 94, or perhaps it was 80/90. Looked into them, but they do seem a bit pricey for what they are. They do look nice though!

That looks really nice, is there much negotiation in their price from MSRP? I just got back from their website.

They are a bit pricey, but my brother-in-law has a an 18 foot Fun Finder cruiser that was about the same cost and the quality in workmanship is a big difference. I don't have quite as much living space inside, but everything in the T@B is solid wood rather than thin particle board. I grew up with a pop up and knew we didn't want that, so this was the perfect fit for towing with the Element.

If you go to a dealership, the price will be close to what they list on the website. Due to Dutchman limiting the dealerships that can sell them, there isn't much room for negotiation.

There is a 5 gallon clean water tank inside, with a sink and water pump. Three way refridgerator and stove. Porta Potty for late night number ones.

Hopefully, the T@B XL (http://www.tab4fun.de/TAB_XL/tab_xl.html) is released in the US at some point, but for now it is only in Europe. Too heavy for the Element, but we're looking at a Titan in the spring.

The orange chairs are from Disney Direct (the backs have little purple Mickey Mouse heads). We're big Disney fans!! Our front license plate is Doom Buggy from the Haunted Mansion. I'll try to remember to get a pic of that too.

I'll get some more pics this weekend and post on Sunday.

Very cool! Living Large (in a small way). Would look better in blue, though. Maybe FBP. :)

I wonder about the weight.

The unloaded weight is one thing but what about loading it for a trip? Water, drinks food, clothes, bedding, tent, - whatever you need to be comfortable. Seems like it would be easy to exceed 1500 lbs..

The Yorkie seems to be happy!!!

Camping with dogs is always a good thing!

My wife and I have always wanted a t@b. I was curious if my E could pull it. I know it has the gravity brake on it to help with slowing down. Have any major issues getting over hills etc? Great pics!

Thanks for the great pics, Jim, and welcome aboard! That looks like an awesome setup. I, too, am anxious to see more pics of the inside, especially after seeing the website.
