PS I found the answer to hooking back the sub here: http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2464

Going to show it to my buddy and get that sub working again :)

I just got my D1 installed and the installers found a way to bypass the parking brake feature. Im able to navigate the vehicle without being at a dead stop and I was told that all the other features like DVD and Playstation will work because of this.

yea i had some problem with that too..you have to bring up the screen with all the buttons on it (after you put the dvd in) and there will be 4 arrows clos together pointing north south east and west hit those buttons and the display will change to a smaller set of buttons ont he right of the screen. those are the buttond you use to choose what part of the dvd or chapter you want and to play the dvd. hope this helps.

oh yeh..and when i had mine put in they didnt hook up my sub eather, but im alot happier with the two 12s i put in any way.. the hum sounds like it could be a bad ground on an amp or something..

Thanks jack e. I figured it out this morning after i just kept on pressing buttons LOL. So i guess i'm stuck with a non working sub. I miss the bass in the front. Quick question for you jack e. Are you able to plot a destination, take out the gps disk, and play a dvd? i mean when the dvd is playing will the gps still come on and say "left turn coming up" or somthing? I was hoping to set a destination, play a dvd, and be able to hear gps directions

yup.. you can plot the destanation then when you pull out the navi disk it will save the route. you can watch a dvd or listen to a cd and it will still voice prompt you. pretty sweet! :-D
