My Element is scheduled to be built in June. I am told by the dealer that I will be given a V.I.N. in the first week of June once Honda provides them with the build and delivery schedule. I have been reading many of your stories about delays in delivery dates to the dealerships for one reason or another. I would like to get a sense of how far away your Elements' delivery date was from the date that the V.I.N. was issued. Did anyone get their vehicle when promised?

The Element has arrived very shortly after the VIN was issued, but almost four months after the deal was put to paper. Once you have a VIN, you're very close to being "E"lated.
