ive purchased a kenwood mono amp to power 2 subs that i just purchased i was wondering 2 things.

1st thing: Where is a good place to connect my 4 guage ground?

2nd thing: I know i need a line output converter but where does this converter connect to? i know its behind the HU obviously but which wires. if someone could tell me which wires it is so i can look on emass's wiring diagram.

1) Ground to a solid, clean, scraped and shiny spot on the chassis, firewall or floor.

2) You should be able to hook up directly out of the factory head unit right into your pre-amp level on your amp without going through a line output converter. You just have to cut into the factory harness. The remote turn on wire is there, too. The info was surprisingly tough to find in this forum. It took me a good half hour to discover it. Here it is:

I had to connect my LOC after the stock amp (to any speaker output) due to the stock H/U output being so weak. Check out www.davidnavone.com for the best LOC out!

I was wondering about that. It is mentioned in a old Brendan post that he used a resistor to knock down the output of an aftermarket deck to more correctly match the input of the factory amp. That would imply the line level output of the factory deck is low, maybe too low to drive an amp properly. I will try to score a factory replacement harness for the factory deck left over from my install so that I can measure its output voltage.
