Hi,

Does anyone know where to get the Pilkington glass for Element in Houston area? Or any other way to enhance the thin windshield of Element?

I've heard some thing like Glass Coating Technology on the windshield, but don't know if they are around in Houston area and how well it could be.

Just don't want to have a cracked windshield on my Element.

Thank you ...

Unless you plan on buying one of the first gen Elements off the line in 03, I wouldn't worry about it.
As much as the hype has been, only a small percentage of total E owners have had windshield problems. And it wasn't caused by 'thin' glass. There are industry standards for windshields, and they are all made to the same standard. The biggest problem was that Honda wouldn't admit there was a defect. The earliest E's had raised welds on the flange around the windshield, that the glass sits in. The raised 'bumps' caused the glass to crack. But after the subsequent E's have been made with the flange 'fixed', there have not been that many problems.
